APP Fellowship Program

Stanford's Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program offers fully benefitted 12-month positions designed to provide post-graduate training to new Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who wish to transition into specialty care; and to experienced APPs who wish to transition to administration.

The APP Fellowship program provides support and training during transition to practice, allowing APP Fellows to build confidence and knowledge in the clinical specialties of Cancer Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Electrophysiology, Inpatient Neurosciences and the leadership specialty of Administration.

The Stanford Health Care APP Fellowship Program continues to maintain its accreditation with distinction status by the ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) as an Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs (IRAP).

2022 APP Awards

The APP awards highlight the clinical expertise and institutional contributions of our outstanding APPs.

The APP Awards Committee serves the APP Council and Center for Advanced Practice by providing a formal format to recognize outstanding SHC APPs and select an annual APP of the Year and APP Leader of the Year Award winner to be honored at the SHC Annual APP Award's Ceremony. The actions of this committee help to encourage, acknowledge, and increase visibility of important contributions made by APPs to our institution and community.

2019 marked the expansion of Shared Leadership Council into the ambulatory care settings.
